December 2: It's so great to be 8!

Abram got baptized in the Baker City church building the first Saturday in December.  His cousins, Kilynn Waite and Kylie Kerns were baptized the same day.  They were all born within a week of each other.

Abram had been a little nervous about how everything was going to go and so Shawn had shown him how he would hold on to him and told him how things would go several times.  When Abram came up out of the water, Pace yelled, "GOOD JOB, ABE!!"  It was pretty cute.  He knew that his brother had been worried and that he had done everything just right.

My dad spoke about baptism, and Penny Waite, Kilynn and Kylie's grandma, spoke about the Holy Ghost.  

Lots of family came, including Grandma and Grandpa Gee, all the way from Rexburg.  Katie and her family were there, Heidi and her family, Matt and his family, and of course, Adam and family, and Ivy's.

We had treats afterwards, including some Grinch treats that Abram made himself, consisting of a green grape, banana slice, strawberry and mini marshmallow on a toothpick.

I have never been able to notice the influence of the Holy Ghost come upon one of my children before.  Abram had been having a lot of anxiety and ever since he has been baptized and received the Holy Ghost his spirit feels calmer to me.  This isn't to say that he doesn't still get upset about things, but I can feel a difference.
