Two similar yet strange pictures

The first is what I found when I opened the freezer door this morning:

The second is what I found when I reached the front door after church:

The first picture is apparently a Captain America turned werewolf that is snarling because someone froze him into a lake of ice.

The second is Pace snarling because his dad put him into time out for disobedience.

Biking the Green belt

We had never done this before and it was a lot of fun!

Table rock

Thursday Shawn took Nolan and Abram to climb Table Rock, at the base of the Teton Mountains, and it was an all-day affair.  They had a great time on this 14 mile hike:

Snow at the end of August!:

Shawn said the boys were really interested in finding rocks "with crystals in them":

That's Table rock behind them!:

Freezing at the top with the Grand Tetons in the background:

While the boys were off hiking, the rest of us went to Anderson's and visited and watched a movie "The Gernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society".

Hazel and Pace watching a snatch from the stairs:D

Wednesday in Idaho

Wednesday was Marilyn's birthday.  We went to the Rexburg temple that morning with she and Jim and then that afternoon we went with them and the kids to the Idaho Falls visitors center to watch some new videos that are out that can only be seen there.  One was about Oliver Cowdery and one was about David Whitmer and they were really good!

Afterwards I took some pictures of the kids as they examined the Christus statue:

Idaho activities through Tuesday

We celebrated Pace's 5th birthday while we were in Idaho.  I can't believe it!!!

He got legos, lots of coloring books because he has been coloring for multiple hours per day, a remote control car, and a paw patrol lunch box, piggy bank and water bottle.

He got to celebrate with his Idaho cousins:

Shawn has been doing the Body for Life competition and so we went to the gym a few times and I documented his great muscle definition:

He is doing so great!!
Isabelle and Ainsley:

We went on a 7 or 8 mile hike on Tuesday to the Wind Caves.  Maddie didn't go because her hip has been bothering her and she's trying to get it better for soccer.  It was a great hike though!  All of the Andersons came except for Ellie, Eli and Hazel.  Suzette and Morgan came, and all of us except for Maddie and Pace.

Kristi and Belle:

Isaac, Sam, Abram and Nolan.  We didn't see much of these guys because they were MOUNTAIN GOATS and beat everyone to the top and back to the car again:

mini me

When my friend Tara Reilley came to visit last month, she kept saying how she thought that Isabelle was a girl form of Shawn.  We had never heard that before!  When I went to Isabelle's ballroom recital at BYU a woman pulled me aside and pointed to Isabelle who was out on the floor dancing.  She said, "That's your daughter, isn't it?! I haven't even seen you with her but she looks JUST like you!" Then I got together with my friend Amber Moore while we were in Utah and she said she couldn't believe how much we look alike.

While we were in Sugar City at Shawn's parents, we were getting ready for church at the same time and took some pictures.  What do you think? Who have you always thought she looks like?

I think they are fun pictures of a mom and daughter getting ready.  Also pictures from one of the BEST days!  We went to our old ward, Burton 4th and it was so wonderful!!  I love and miss everyone there so much and they made us feel so good because they were so excited to see us and it was so good to talk to and see everyone again.
