We had a hard time waking up the boys today:
Throughout the whole trip we purchased two hotel rooms each night. We put the four older kids in one room and us and the three little boys in the other. Nolan, Abram and Pace all shared a bed. The older kids were able to stay up and watch movies and do whatever they wanted.
Once we got up and going, we headed for San Francisco! When we arrived, we were disappointed to find that the San Francisco bridge was sitting in a heavy fog. We drove across it and then drove up above it hoping to get a view, but the fog was too heavy. We even waited for awhile, but it never cleared off. So we drove into the city, which was as clear and warm as could be. The fog never did lift from over the bridge, though.

Pace told a street vendor that he thought her hats were really awesome, which led to a sale for her....
We went to Ghirrdelli (sp) Square and bought some chocolate. Drove through China town, and up and down hills so steep that they had us SCREAMING!!

Next we drove to Monterey, California to attend the Gee family reunion. When we arrived, everyone met and played at the beach:

We spent a couple of days in Monterey, during which time we went to a really great aquarium, spent lots of time with family, played more at the beach and visited fisherman's wharf several times. Unfortunately I don't know what happened to my pics of that time! It was a great time and a great vacation!!
