Portland Zoo

July 27 we decided to make a day trip to go see the Portland Zoo.  We realized that Pace and Anni had never been to a zoo and needed to do something about that. 

On the way there, we stopped at the fish hatchery to see all of the huge sturgeon, and then at Cascade Locks to try out the HUGE ice cream cones there.  They did not disappoint!

The next stop was the zoo and I think it is the best zoo we have ever been to.  Anni had hopes of seeing a "bunny" and a "turtle" and we accomplished that:)

Family picture at the zoo, followed by a MOD Pizza stop on the way home.  Anni cried when we passed Cascade Locks again because she hoped to stop for another ice cream...and we probably would have except that it was already closed:(
