Our new digs

The best part of the new house are the decks and the view from the upper deck:

We are on a hill and our house drops three stories in the back, so the yard is a LONG way down. That's Shawn down there working away:

We spend LOTS of time out here in the evenings:

Mostly when we aren't working on house renovations, which we have done A LOT of:

I will post more before and afters later!

The kids love the lower deck during the day because it's shaded. Here they are after they made themselves a "special lunch":

Another fun thing about the yard is all of the great plant material and flowers!  I have been focused on getting everything just how I want it on the inside, so I haven't done much outside.  The kids keep the house stocked with flowers, though, and I love it!

We have a park just one house away from ours, which is great for spontaneous picnics and for when we need more yard space.  This is the kids when we had cousins over one day:

And that's another great thing about living here!  We get to see Aaron and Tia a lot more, and it seems like family comes to visit almost every week:
Pace and Uncle Adam:
Many times, family came into town to celebrate someone's birthday at the aquatic center.  When we got into town, one of the first things we did was buy season's passes to the aquatic center because it is a nice one!  We used it A LOT.

Abram and Nolan:
We went for LOTS of walks all summer long in the warm evenings which I loved.  There are a lot of really neat houses to look at here!  And it's a nice exercise because the whole town is built on really steep hills...
We went over to mom and dads about every other Sunday in the summer and enjoyed all the family time:
And the kids played lots of fun games with cousins:

Eli came to stay every other weekend with us.  This is a picture I took of them painting rocks down at the fire pit:
