For Civil Rights Day we went Cross country skiing at Harriman Park. We LOVE this activity!! It takes well over an hour to get to this beauty, but it is worth it!
The only problem with how long it takes to get here is that if you forget something at home you are out of luck... The first time we went this year we arrived only to find that Maddie and I had the wrong kind of boots to go with our skis, so no skiing for us. We got a great work-out keeping up with everyone else, that's for sure!
This time, Kami forgot skis altogether:
Caden takes all of the good pictures on these expeditions, but then he is never in any of them, so I tried to capture more of him this time:
Shawn threw snowballs until that large clump of snow up in the tree fell on Kami's head- for some reason my kids enjoy doing things like this?:
And then they did it with more snow...Caden was trying to get pictures of it, you see:
I don't know if he ever came up with what he considered satisfactory, but it was fun to watch:
She's up:
deep snow!:
