Before and afters

We’ve been having a lot of fun with this rental house since we moved in! There is so much satisfaction that comes from seeing a vision, working hard, and getting a project to come together! I didn’t think I had any “before” pictures but was happy to see that I did. And I’m sure I will post more “afters” as the summer goes on because everything will just get better as plants grow. 

Front porch “before”:

I started by getting rid of the chipped yellow paint by repainting the stairs but before THAT, Caden built forms to reform the crumbled steps. 

Then we took the plastic off the side doors and I painted the door, side doors and trim. I also didn’t like the green house numbers so Maddie used her calligraphy skills to make a nice one.

Nice to get rid of the plastic tubs and replace them with A-frames built by Shawn. I saw that these are great to grow vining plants over and the produce hangs down so that I will be able to walk right u see and pick it. Then cool weather-  loving plants can grown underneath in the shade. Hopefully this will work as planned.we also squared off the whole garden so that it is more visually pleasing. We have another REALLY BIG garden which we have also created, so I took a couple of boxes for flowers in this one. I also planted flowers along the back fence areas. I can’t wait to see how it all turns out!
